Chief security officer of BCB dies
The principle security officer of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Major Md. Hussain Imam (Retd.) breathed his last today at the Merged Military Hospital (CMH), Dhaka.
BCB expressed deep sadness in his demise. Relating to BCB statement, he experienced a cardiac arrest. He was 61 at the time of his passing.
Major Imam had joined the BCB in 2013 as the board’s security head. He previously supervised and coordinated the BCB’s security businesses and protocol at numerous domestic and international situations like the ICC World T20 in 2014, the ICC Under 19 World Glass and the ACC Asia Cup in 2016.
He had also performed the role of the Bangladesh national cricket team’s security officer through the tour of Ireland in 2019 and the tour of Pakistan 2020. He was accountable for the BCB’s security administration program at all its venues.
“Key Imam was a humble, dedicated and hard-functioning person. His confident handling of security concerns, especially the challenging kinds, will be remembered definitely. Our prayers are along with his family group,” BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said in the message".
