Bus owner among 3 sued; Driver, helper held
Police have arrested the driver of a bus and his assistant in connection with the death of schoolboy Tanvir Ahmed Jiyon in an accident in Rangpur on Sunday.
Mizanur Rahman, superintendent of Kotwali police, said they nabbed bus driver Insan Ali, 38, and his assistant Badsha Mia, 35, from Medical crossing of Rangpur city on Sunday night.
They also seized the bus of Bhai-bon Paribahan.
A case has been filed with Kotwali Police Station accusing bus owner Sharifa Begum, its driver and assistant.
Earlier, Jiyon, a student of class X of Collectorate School and College, was run over by a bus of Bhai-bon Paribahan while returning his mess after taking private tuition around 11:30am.
