Burnett apologizes for wearing a confederate flag jacket
The Bachelor star Demi Burnett, who competed for Colton Underwood's heart in 2019 and later continued to attempt to find appreciate on Bachelor in Paradise, took to Twitter to handle a resurfaced photo that showed her wearing a jacket with a Confederate flag on it.

At the moment, it's unclear when the 25-year-old superstar posed for the photo. However, Redditors described the image was at first posted on her behalf ex-boyfriend Slater Davis' Instagram Testimonies. Both made their relationship official around this time this past year and split up in June 2020 after four weeks of dating.

"F--k it. Folks are telling me I shouldn't say anything, I'm going to say something about this," Demi commenced her video tutorial, which she posted on Mon, Feb. 15. "So, there has been this picture that's been resurfaced of me wearing a jacket that experienced a Confederate flag onto it. That jacket was presented with if you ask me by my ex. His father actually gave it if you ask me, and I had no thought the excess fat that the Confederate flag placed whenever I was wearing it."

The Bachelor Nation star went on to talk about that she simply wore the jacket "for that one night" and thought "it had been so cool" since it was a Yeezy design.

Looking back at her decision to don the jacket, Demi explained it was "ignorant of me not to focus on the Confederate flag."

PR team would've explained to ignore it and become it didn't happen but it doesn't sit best with me. I'm sorry for my ignorance

"A lot more ignorant of me personally to not even understand how harmful that's to persons," she continued. "Hence, yeah. I royally f--ked up using that. And I am consequently f--king sorry. I'm disgusted with myself. I'm embarrassed...it generally does not even matter how I feel. I'm only so f--king sorry because that's not what I stand for, that's not what I'm about. And I'm actually mad that I ever wore it."
