'Behager Surey'
Samarjit Roy and Dr Priyanka Gope lent their voices for a song on the occasion of coming Durga Puja, titled 'Behager Surey'. GK Dutta wrote lyrics of the song while composition and arrangement of the music has been done by Samarjit himself. It is a classical song, according to Samarjit. While talking about the song Samarjit said, "Priyanka Gope is our one of the popular classical singers.
I like her rendering style. In JK Majlish's studio, recording of Priyanka's song was done. It is main thing that Priyanka has rendering the song which I wanted. I gave huge efforts to prepare the song. If the listeners like it my effort will become successful. Track of the song was prepared in Kolkata. Rahul Chatterjee's setar, Prabir Chatterjee's table and Bubai's flute made a new dimension to the song.
Priyanka Gope shared her feelings by this way, "I have rendered a nice song with Samarjit Dada for upcoming Puja. It is really a delightful matter for me to render such type of song. There is a flavor of old days in the song which will surely impress the music-lovers."
