7 Bangladeshis held with $7 lakh in Kolkata
Seven Bangladeshi nationals were arrested for carrying over $7 lakh in cash at an airport in India's Kolkata on Tuesday, allegedly without any supporting document or voucher.
They were nabbed at the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, said officials, reports India based IANS.
The Bangladeshis were slated to fly off to Dhaka in the same flight from the airport.
The officials found the foreign currency worth $7,43,300, equivalent to Rs 5.14 crore, hidden in false bottoms of their bags.
All seven were later handed over to the Customs Authority.
