Kathak dance show at Nat'l Museum Sunday
An evening of Sitar Recital by Ebadul Huq Shaikat and Kathak dance performance by Masum Hossain will be held at 6.30 PM on Sunday at the KabiSufia Kamal Auditorium of Bangladesh National Museum Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, High Commission of India will organize the program.  

Ebadul Huq Shaikat (on Sitar) has an Honours and Masters degree in Sitar from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata and got trained under Sitar Maestros Pt. Debaprashad Chakraborty, Pt. Kartik Sheshadri, Pt. Deepak Choudhury, Pt. Ajay Sinha Roy, UstadKhurshid Khan and Sree. MadanGopal Das, reports UNB.

Shaikat performed in different TV channels and festivals both India and Bangladesh such as BTV, Massranga TV, SA TV, BishwaSahitya Kendra Dhaka, ChhayanautSangeetVidyayatan, Alliance Française de Dhaka, Bengal Foundation, Dhaka University, Indian High Commission, Dhaka, Media Center, Dhaka, Bengal-Sra Musical Festival in 2012, Zakir Hussain College, Delhi Karolbag Bangio Sahitya Sangshad, Delhi etc.

On the other hand, Masum Hossain is Kathak student of Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre and a scholar at Indian Council for Cultural relations (ICCR), Kolkata who completed his Masters of Dance(Kathak )at RabindraBharati University Masum is a regular artist of Bangladesh television (BTV) and is working as a dance teacher in BAF Shaheen English medium School.

He won the "UNESCO Club Cultural Award-2005" organized by National Association of UNESCO Club in Bangladesh.

He was also nominated as the best student of the year in 2004 of Rewaz Performers School and won the 1st prize in ATN Bangla Gold Medal Competition (Kathak) organized by ATN Bangla. He achieved Scholarship for two years by Bangladesh Nritto shilpi Shongo.
