Bashundhara Group donates Tk 10 crore to PM’s relief fund
Bashundhara Group has extended its support to the government for ongoing challenge against the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

The country’s leading organization conglomerate donated Taka 10 crore to the Prime Minister’s relief fund to combat the spreading of Covid-19.

Bashundhara Group Managing Director (MD) Sayem Sobhan Anvir paid the donation cheque to Ahmad Kaikaus, principal secretary to the PM on Sunday afternoon. 

Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina received donation on her behalf relief and welfare fund from various federal government and personal organisations through a videoconference from her official Ganabhaban residence.

Besides, Bashundhara Group will create a 5000-bed hospital found in the capital for treating clients infected with coronavirus (COVID-19).

Sayem Sobhan Anvir positioned the proposal to the Prime Minister. 

The premier has given her consent in this regard, Bashundhara Group MD said.

Based on the proposal, four convention centers and a single trade centre of the group located in Kuril of the capital would be converted into a 5000-bed hospital.
