Bashar tests positive for coronavirus
Bangladesh national team selector Habibul Bashar has tested positive for coronavirus.
"I took the test as I have been suffering from fever for days gone by two days. I got the report at night today [Wednesday]. It had been positive," said Bashar to Media yesterday.
Other than having a fever, the former national skipper does not have any other major symptoms. He's currently isolating himself at his own residence.
Bangladesh's cricket has been hit hard by the coronavirus during the past couple of days. All rounder Mahmudullah Riyad missed from playing in the PSL playoffs after testing Covid-19 positive earlier this week. After Mahmudullah, Test skipper Mominul Haque also tested positive for the virus.
