Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen said it was extremely hard to send again the Rohingyas to their homeland in three . 5 years as a result of insufficient sincerity of Myanmar.

“The Rohingya do not want to return to Myanmar because they don't trust the government of their country. Even so, Bangladesh government is making all types of efforts to mail them back again to Myanmar,” he said

Dr Momen as well said complications about the Rohingya issue are actually growing up as a result of intervention of third functions.

Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen built the comments as the principle guest while addressing publication ceremony of two literature at Bangabandhu hall of Chattogram Press Club on Sunday afternoon.

The two books written by Key (Retd.) Mohammad Emdadul Islam, a ex - diplomat of Myanmar embassy, are “Rohingya: A good Lonely Oppressed Ethnic Group and “Where Carry out We Follow The Last Border”.

Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said talks are underway with Myanmar over the repatriation of Rohingyas.

“I saw many Rohingyas came to our country in 1978 and 1992. About 253,000 Rohingyas had taken shelter in our country in 1992. About 230,000 Rohingya soon after repatriated through negotiations with Myanmar. That is why we happen to be optimistic about repatriation. Yet they explained that they will take them. Nonetheless it is difficult to state if they took them again,” he added.

“They keep saying over and over that they can take their people. But we stated, Ok, take them, but you must ensure their safe practices. The Myanmar authorities said that they will ensure their (Rohingya) reliability. The Myanmar authority as well said they are creating a conducive environment for them. But unfortunately, not a one Rohingya has came back till today though practically three and a half years have passed because of insufficient sincerity of Myanmar,” he continued.

“Have you seen all over the world giving shelter to 11 lakh people?” he said.

“One million displaced persons from Syria, Yemen and Iraq possess struggled to look for shelter in 27 Europe. But Bangabandhu daughter Primary Minister Sheikh Hasina possesses given shelter to 1 1.1 million people here for humanitarian factors,” he added.
