Baby Naznin, Helal Khan collect BNP nomination, Dipjol gets AL
Popular singer Baby Naznin and film actor Helal Khan have collected nomination forms to contest the 11th general election under the BNP banner. They bought the nomination papers from the BNP's Naya Paltan headquarters in Dhaka on Monday.
Baby Naznin intends to run from Nilphamari 4 while Helal Khan wants to run from Sylhet 6. Previously, Monowar Hossain Dipjol, the notorious villain of Dhallywood, has collected Awami League's nomination for Dhaka-14 (Mirpur, Shah Ali, Darus Salam region) from the Awami League president's political office in Dhanmondi on Saturday.
The renowned actor recently told the press that he collected Awami League's nomination form and will start his election campaign if nominated from the party. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader inaugurated the nomination form sales on Friday.
Moreover, BNP started selling nomination papers on Monday with the collection of three forms for the party's incarcerated Chairperson Khaleda Zia. On Sunday, the BNP-led 20-Party Alliance announced that it will participate in the polls, slated for December 30.
