Azad and Salwa pair up for 'Rajkonna'
Newbie model-actress Nishat Nawar Salwa and Emami Fair & Handsome champion model-actor Abul Kalam Azad will pair up together in their debut film, 'Rajkonna'. Azad is hailed from Chak Durga village of Fapore union of Bogura. On the other hand, crowned as the first runners-up in Miss World Bangladesh 2018, famed Salwa is hailed from Beanibazar of Sylhet.
Salwa and Azad are going to work in a movie as pair for the first time. They have already confirmed to work in Raju Chowdhury's movie 'Rajkonna'. Salwa will play the title role in the movie. Salwa earlier performed as model in Tahsan's a song titled 'Mon Karigor'. Salwa is daughter of Md Rafiqul Islam who is working in as Joint Secretary at Planning Ministry. Shahini Akhter Chowdhury is her mother. She is youngest daughter of them.
The duo has already signed the contract and are ready for the shooting. Directed by Raju Chowdhury, the shooting of the film is scheduled to begin in various locations of Sylhet from March 20.
"I am grateful to Raju Chowdhury for giving me such a huge opportunity. I'm very excited as the shooting of my debut film will begin in Sylhet, my hometown. I have always received positive responses from the audiences till now. I am optimistic that everything will go without any hassle," said Salwa.
Meanwhile, the champion of Emami Fair & Handsome 2014, Abul Kalam Azad, have appeared in a number of popular small-screen projects. Now, the actor is excited to make a foray into the big screen.
"Raju Chowdhury is a professional and a renowned director in Dhallywood. It's an honor to work under his direction in my debut film. As Salwa is there, I am hopeful that the film production will face no problem. I focus only on the film now and nothing else," said Azad.
