Ariful strikes double hundred following return from UAE
Ariful Haque remained an unused substitute during the Tigers’ Asia Cup campaign where fine margins saw them lose yet another final on the last ball of the match. The right-hander has however struck a magnificent double hundred today for Rangpur, carrying on from his unbeaten 117 yesterday.

The cricketer’s performance in the domestic league was not affected by the heat and conditions of Dubai as having returned from Dubai he did not allow exhaustion to get the better of him. Ariful is currently unbeaten on 231 which is his highest first-class innings.

This is also the batsman’s highest score in any form of cricket, not just first-class. He struck 21 fours and four sixes in his innings so far with a strike rate of over 70. Rangpur coasted to 500 for eight wickets against Barisal at the time of filing this report. Rangpur had yesterday reached 300 for the loss of five wickets.
