Anurag Basu opens up about the controversial removal of Govinda from 'Jagga Jasoos', says he couldn't have handled the strain. He recently exposed about the issues he faced while directing 'Jagga Jasoos'.
The filmmaker also addressed the controversial removal of Govinda from the musical. Spilling beans on the same, Anurag told a news portal that there have been many delays in the shoot already and then there is confusion if Govinda is coming on the set, or is usually he cancelling the flight, or is normally he taking the fight, or happen to be we cancelling the shoot. Based on the filmmaker, it was extremely unpredictable and he couldn't have taken that stress. As they were shooting outside in South Africa, everything was prearranged and the director only had to forget about him.
Following the incident in 2017, Govinda expressed his disappointment and anger in a series of tweets that read, 'I did my job as an actor and if the director isn't happy it's completely his call. There have been various negative stories and negative articles limited to Govinda and that's the way the film was remembered for three years. I was unwell and on drips but nonetheless, I travelled to South Africa and does my shoot. I was told they'll narrate the film in South Africa and I dint even fee my signing volume, made no contracts. I gave total respect to the Kapoor family group. I does the film because he's my senior's son. I was told I will receive the script.'
