Alumni Day observed at Jahangirnagar University
Jahangirnagar University observed its 3rd Alumni Day on the campus on Friday amid festivity and much enthusiasm.
Marking the day, Jahangirnagar University Alumni Association (JUAA) arranged a reunion programme at campus.
JU Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Farzana Islam formally inaugurated the event by hoisting national flag and releasing balloons on Business Studies Faculty premises.
Later, a colourful rally was brought out from Business Studies faculty premises which paraded the important streets of the campus and ended at Selim Al Deen Muktamancha.
JU Pro VC (academic) Professor Abul Hossain, Pro VC (administration) Amir Hussain, Treasurer professor Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq and president of JUTA and the former JU VC Professor Sharif Enamul Kabir addressed the function, among others.
The programme was conducted by JU Registrar Abu Bakar Siddique.
The daylong functions were included with discussion, reminiscences, grand launch, raffle draw and cultural events. A reception programme of the university’s 3rd batch students was also held at Muktamancha.
