Additional secy arrested for torturing wife
Dr Jakir Hossain, an additional secretary (OSD) of Public Administration Ministry, was arrested on Saturday night in a case filed for torturing wife.
A team of police nabbed him from Government Officers' Quarters on Baily Road in the capital during a drive at night, Ramna Police Station OC Md Manirul Islam confirmed.
He said they arrested the additional secretary following a case filed by his wife doctor Fatema Jahan in the afternoon.
In the case, Fatema alleged Jakir has been torturing her for dowry.
