A Guide To Buying Furniture Online
While nothing beats perusing a furniture and home décor showroom in-person to find the perfect piece for your home, many shoppers turn to buying online for added convenience and selection.

Luxury furniture brand, Adobe Interiors, offers the ability to shop both ways and is sharing some of the most important tips and tricks for online customers to keep in mind. First, do your research on the company you are planning to purchase from. Do not rely solely on the reviews from the company’s own website, as sometimes these can be fake reviews. A valuable tool is a company’s Google Business Profile or their Facebook page. They recommend purchasing from a company with a minimal rating of four out of five stars and more than 75 Google or Facebook reviews, because it shows consistency.

Visuals are also key. Make sure there are multiple, high-resolution pictures of the furniture piece you are interested in buying to ensure color accuracy and up-close detail. Lack of pictures can be a red flag.

On the topic of red flags, make sure the company has a legitimate physical address, as well as a working phone number. If the price seems too good to be true, it’s probably a scam. Be sure to use a service such as PayPal, or a major credit card, rather than a debit card to purchase online for added security. Also, read the company’s return policy. If a product arrives damaged, do not accept it for delivery or obtain a guarantee of repair or replacement from the company in writing.

Finally, have patience. Large furniture items do not ship quickly, especially if you are states away or in a remote area. Generally, it can take up to 30 days to receive large furniture items, even if the company has it in-stock and ready to ship. It is best to avoid companies that ship through major LTL freight companies. This increases the odds of receiving damaged furniture.
