77 arrested from Dhaka for substance abuse
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) within an anti-narcotics have arrested 77 individuals from different places of the administrative centre.
The DMP nabbed them from different points from Wednesday evening to Thursday morning.
DMP's public relation officer deputy commissioner Masudur Rahman confirmed the arrest news at a press briefing on Thursday.
He said they recovered 6,759 Yaba pills, 349 grams of drugs, 880 grams of hemp, 511 bottles of Phensedyl syrup, 26 injections and 24 bottles of foreign liquors from their possessions.
The arrested men are accused in 57 lawsuits filed under the Narcotics Control Act, Masudur Rahman added.
