5G Huawei Mate 20 X launch just around the corner
Huawei may have been dealing in a rough spot globally, but it’s a whole different story on their home turf. Huawei has acquired the 3C certification (China’s Compulsory Certification) ahead of their forthcoming launch of Huawei Mate 20 X (5G) in China. The new Huawei device is all set for the Chinese market to introduce the revolutionary, much-awaited 5G technology to the world.

The Mate 20 X (5G) is a refreshed version of the standard Mate 20 X and comes equipped of two key additions, number one being the 5G connectivity and second, support for faster 40W charging compared to 22.5W on the standard version. On the other hand, the battery capacity has been dropped to 4200mAh compared to the 5000mAh on the regular Mate 20 X. Although, the battery capacity may have gone down but the spike from 22.5W to 40W faster-charging support cannot be certainly overlooked.

Under the hood, is Huawei's own Kirin 980 chipset paired with the company's Balong 5000 modem, the world's first 7nm 5G multi-mode chip. The device also supports the M-Pen stylus with its 4096 levels of pressure which will be sold separately.

Diving into more details of the devices, quite similar to Mate 20 X, the 5G model gets the original's triple rear camera setup, with a 40MP main f/1.8 shooter, 20MP f/2.2 ultra-wide cam, and 8MP f/2.4 5x optical zoom telephoto lens. It even has the same 7.2-inch touchscreen which runs Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9 on top. It also flaunts a waterdrop-style notched design. The panel operates at full-HD+ (1080×2240 pixels) resolution. The device comes with 6GB RAM variant with 128GB storage. It also supports IP53 for water and dust resistance.

Sporting a 5G badge on the backside, the phone will be available in an exclusive Emerald Green colourway.
