5 films to hit cinemas on Eid
Five local films having received censor certificates are ready to hit cinemas across the country during Eid-ul-Azha. The films are Captain Khan, Beporoya, Mone Rekho, Zannat and Amar Prem Amar Priya. Among the five films, three are ready for release, while Captain Khan and Beporoya are currently in post-production stages.
'Directors, producers and booking agents are busy promoting their films and booking cinemas for releasing those during Eid'. However, the Eid releases might undergo changes if any producer postpones the release of a film at the last moment or other films join the list.
Industry insiders said that some importers are trying to release Shakib-Khan starrer Tollywood film Naqaab, if they can manage to get a stay order on the High Court rule to ban release of imported films during festivals. It is expected that Shakib Khan-starrer Captain Khan, directed by Wajed Ali Sumon, will hit highest number of cinemas.
Production house Shapla Media is planning to release the film at around 200 cinemas. 'There is a huge demand for screening Captain Khan during Eid-ul-Azha among cinema owners. We have already booked 70 cinemas and hope to release the film at 200 cinemas across the country', said Selim Khan, chief of Shapla Media.
Beporoya, directed by Indian filmmaker Raja Chanda, is expected to hit second most number of cinemas in Eid. The film, produced by Jaaz Multimedia, starring Roshan and Bobby in the lead roles is expected to hit 80 cinemas. Popular actress Mahiya Mahi will be seen in two Eid films: Wajed Ali Sumon's Mone Rekho and Mustafizur Rahman Manik's Zannat.
In Mone Rekho, Mahi has paired up with Indian actor Bony Sengupta and in Zannat the actress will be seen opposite Saimon Sadiq. Both Zannat and Mone Rekho are romantic films.
In Amar Prem Amar Priya, actress Porimoni will be seen opposite Arzu. The film has been directed by Shamimul Islam Shamim.
