4 killed in Bogura road crashes
Four persons were killed and at least five others injured in separate road accidents in Sherpur upazila of Bogura at early hours of Thursday (September 5).
Sherpur Fire Service and Civil Defence Station Officer Md Ratan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
One of the deceased was identified as Amena Bibi, wife of one Abdul Hamid from Sherpur municipality's Ulipur area.
Locals said a truck driver and two helpers died on the spot and five others injured when a banana-laden truck, a rod-laden truck and a covered-van involved in a triplicate collision in College Road area of Dhaka-Bogura Highway.
Police and Fire service members responded to the scene and rushed the injured to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SZMCH).
The battered vehicles were removed from the spot.
In Hazipur area, 50-year-old Amena Bibi was crushed to death by a bus while crossing the highway.
