3 killed as two buses collide in Sirajganj
At least three people were killed and 18 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses of Hanif Paribahan on the western link road of Bangabandhu Bridge.
The accident took place in Soydabad area around 4:30pm on Wednesday (March 20).
The victims could not be identified immediately.
Sirajganj Fire Service and Civil Defense assistant director Md Abdul Hamid said a North Bengal-bound bus of Hanif Paribahan collided head on with a Dhaka-bound bus of same transport group, killing a person on the spot and injuring 20 others.
Injured were sent to 250-bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital where two more persons succumbed to their injuries.
