3 held at Dhaka airport with gold, iPhpones
National Security Intelligence (NSI) in Wednesday evening arrested 3 alleged smugglers with precious metal ornaments and iPhones at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Through the arrest, the NSI seized 1.328 grams of gold bars and ornaments, five iPhones and three tabs from their possession.
NSI resources said they learnt an organised gang was smuggling gold out from the country. Based on the info, the NSI customers took position at several points in the airport. In the evening, they arrested three individuals with gold, iPhones and tabs. The worthiness of the seized precious metal bars was about Tk 1 crore, customs sources claimed.
