The next death anniversary of Ekushey Padak winner famous painter Syed Jahangir observed on Tuesday. He is well-known for creating rural environment and investigating the diversity of dynamics. Syed Jahangir passed away on December 29, 2018 aged 83.
Veteran painter Syed Jahangir was created on November 4, 1935 in Satkhira. The iconic artist devoted over 60 years of his lifestyle to painting and realized national and global fame.

After 22 years of functioning as a specialist artist,he joined as the top of the Department of Excellent Arts of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in 1977. He likewise acted as the director of the Academy. He won the Ekushey Padak in 1985. Charushilpi Shangshad offered him an award of distin-ction in 1992.
He also received the Michael Madhusudan award found in 2000 and Shashibhushan award in 2005.
