2 drivers, 2 helpers held over Airport road mishap
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-1 detained two drivers and two helpers of two buses on charge of running over two students on Airport road on Sunday.
RAB-1 Commander Lt Col Sarwar Bin Kashem on Monday (July 30) told Banglanews that they, in an overnight drive, held the drivers and helpers from different spots of the city following the tragic incident.
Earlier on Sunday, two students of Shaheed Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College were killed as a speedy bus hit them on Airport Road of the capital city.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Karim, 16 and Diya, 15. Twelve others were injured in the accident.
Of them, six were hospitalized at Kurmitola General Hospital nearby the spot and the rest six at Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
The accident happened on the road before Radisson hotel near Zillur Rahman flyover connecting Airport Road to Mirpur.
