2 crushed under truck in Airport Road
Two passersby were crushed under the wheels of a truck as the vehicle ploughed through a foot-over bridge in Dhaka's Airport Road area early Monday.
The deceased were identified as Dalim, 20, and Mobarak, 27.
Airport Police Station SI Shreedhan Chandra Roy said a truck ploughed through a foot-over bridge after its driver lost control over the steering around 12:45am, leaving two dead on the scene.
Local people managed to catch the driver and his assistant.
The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue, the SI said
