2 Bangladeshis killed in Christchurch attacks
Two Bangladeshi immigrants were killed in Friday’s deadly Christchurch mosque attacks in New Zealand.
A total of seven Bangladeshi persons were among the fatalities while three others are still missing.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam confirmed the matter while attending a program, as the chief guest, at BIISS Auditorium in Dhaka Saturday (Mar 16).
Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh (DCAB) organized the program.
The two slain Bangladeshis are—Dr Abdus Samad and Hosne Ara Begum, said the state minister.
Of the injured, Ms Lipi and Mumtasin sustained critical injuries.
Three others—Sheikh Hasan Rubel, Shahzada Akter and Omar Faruk were hospitalized.
The three missing are—Mozammel, Jakaria and Shaown.
