3 Bangladeshis confirmed dead in New Zealand mosque shootings
Three Bangladeshi expatriates were confirmed dead and a few others injured in New Zealand mosque shootings. 

Two among the three deceased were identified as Dr Abdus Samad and Hosne Ara Parvin of Sylhet, Dhaka’s High Commissioner to Canberra released the information on Friday (March 15).

However, Farid uddin Ahmed, husband of the deceased Hosne Ara Parvin, narrowly escaped the death.

Shafiqur Rahman Bhuiyan, consul general of Bangladesh, is set to leave for New Zealand on Saturday morning (March 16) to visit Bangladeshi casualties.

Canberra High Commission is keeping a close watch on Bangladesh cricket team, though New Zealand has taken enough security measures for the team.

Bangladesh does not have any embassy in New Zealand as Dhaka’s High Commissioner in Canberra is concurrently accredited to the neighboring country.
