2 Bangladeshi cabin crews held with gold bars
Customs intelligence officials detained two female cabin crews of Saudi Arabian Airlines along with gold bars from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in the capital early Monday.
The detained crews are Sayma Akhter and Farzana Afrose. Both are Bangladeshi nationals.
Customs officials nabbed the duo from a Saudi Airlines around 2am with the help of Airport Armed Police Battalion (APBn) and recovered 26 gold bars from Sayma and 10 from Farzana hidden inside their undergarments, additional superintendent of APBn police Alamgir Hossain confirmed.
