1 Bangladeshi killed, 10 injured in Saudi road crash
A Bangladeshi girl was killed and 11 others were injured in a road accident in Riaydh, Saudi Arabia, early Friday.
The deceased, Afrin Akther, 9, was daughter of Fakhrul Islam, a resident of Shahrasti upazila in Chandpur.
Afrin with her family members and relatives fell victim to a road accident in Al Kasim area while leaving Riyadh on way to Madina around 3:00am, said Shadat Patwari and Nazrul Islam, relatives of the victims. Afrin died on the spot while 11 others were injured, they added.
The injured are: Fakhrul Islam, 40, his mother Shahanara Begum, 60, wife Halima Begum, 26, hailed from Shahrasti upazila in Chandpur; Md Shah Alam, 38, his wife Marjina Begum, 23, daughter Saima Akther, 6, and Nawshin Akther, 4, residents of Monohorganj upazila in Cumilla; car driver Faridul Islam, 45, Shafiqul Islam, 39, and Sirajul Islam, 42.
All the injured are undergoing treatment at Al Kasim and Al Buraida hospital.
