Youth shot dead in Jashore
Miscreants shot to death a 30-year-old man at a fish farm in Jashore sadar upazila Wednesday (July 24) noon.
Deceased Imroz was son of one Nur Islam in Bhaturia village of the upazila.
The deceased's younger brother Israfil said a group of terrorists backed by the ruling party took a girl to a room of the fish farm in Kalabagan area, intending indecent activity, at noon.
They opened fire at Imroz as he obstructed them, leaving him bullet-hit on the spot.
Locals rescued him and took to Jashore 250-bed hospital.
He died while was being moved to Dhaka for better treatment, around 3:30pm.
Police launched drives to detain the suspects, Jashore Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moniruzzaman told Banglanews.
