Xulhash-Tonoy murder: Police submits chargesheet
Police have submitted the chargesheet in the case filed for sensational Xulhash and Tonoy murder.
Counter Terrorism inspector Manirul Islam on Sunday submitted the chargesheet after investigation with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saduzzaman Sharif accusing eight people.
The investigation officials said, at least 13 people were involved in the double murder. All of them were the members of banned militant outfit Ansar Al Islam. Among them, eight are identified but the rest are not.
The chragesheet were sent to Home Ministry on May 13 for approval. It was submitted before the court after approval of the ministry, the officials said.
Four were arrested in the case--Mozammel Hossain, 25, media unit chief of Ansar Al Islam and also the member of intelligence, Arafat Rahman, 24, member of military unit and coordinator, Sheikh Abdullah, 27, chief of intelligence unit, and Asadullah, 25, member of military unit.
Xulhaz, a former official of USAID, and his friend Tonoy were hacked to death by criminals at Xulhsh's Kalabagan residence on April 25, 2016.
