World Children’s Evening: Emirates Airline Basis reiterates its determination to the welfare of disadvantaged children
On World Children’s Day time, celebrated worldwide on November 20, the Emirates Airline Foundation and its NGO partners talk about their hopes for enhancing the welfare of disadvantaged children all over the world. The Foundation supports projects offering children with secure shelter, fundamental necessities such as for example food and medical companies, and access to prospects through education and abilities training.

Sir Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline and Chairman of the Emirates Airline Base said: “In the 18 years since its establishment, the building blocks has been assisting to channel the generous donations of our passengers and workers towards projects centered on improving the welfare of kids in need.

“The Foundation currently works with 19 projects in 12 countries all over the world, and we would want to do more. Kids are our world’s collective expect the future, plus they deserve every dignity and chance.”

Some of the organisations and tasks supported by the Foundation include: the Virlanie Base in the Philippines which assists provide housing and protection for marginalised kids; the tiny Prince Nursery and University in Kenya which provides nursery and most important education for underprivileged kids from the Kibera slums; and the Italian NGO Emergenza Sorrisi which sent medical volunteers to execute life changing plastic surgeries for over 100 children this past year. In South Africa, Singakwenza, which functions to build sustainable early on childhood programmes in economically disadvantaged communities, taught over 1,400 father and mother, caregivers and educators last year; and in India, IMMPACT provides education through community-centered learning centers to 3,000 girls each year who result from underprivileged families largely in rural areas.

The Emirates Airline Basis is a non-revenue charity organisation, made up of volunteer staff members and good friends of the Emirates Group. THE BUILDING BLOCKS gets results through partnerships with NGOs and network groups.
