Wife among 4 get death for killing farmer
A Kushtia court on Wednesday awarded a woman among four people death sentence for killing her husband in 2017.
After examining records and witnesses, District and Sessions Judge Arup Kumar Goswami handed down the verdict.
The condemned convicts are: Dolena Begum, second wife of victim Hanif Khamaruz, his nephew Mukul Hossain, and neighbours Asmat Ali Mandal and Shyamol Pramanik.
According to prosecution, the convicts hacked dead Hanif following a family feud and land dispute on April 10, 2017.
Later, his son Aminul Islam filed a case with Bheramara Police Station the following day.
