War criminal Kaiser's death penalty upheld
The Appellate Division on Tuesday upheld war criminal Syed Mohammed Kaiser's death sentence given by a war crimes tribunal in 2014.
A four-member Appellate Division bench headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain pronounced the verdict.
Lawyer SM Shahjahan stood for Qaisar while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam represent the state.
On December 23, 2014, the International Crimes Tribunal-2 awarded death penalty to Kaiser for his crimes against humanity during the Liberation war in 1971.
