Vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign Saturday
Bangladesh will observe national vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign on Saturday (July 14).
Under the campaign, around 2.19 crore children (aged from 6-59 months) will be fed Vitamin ‘A’ capsules across the country.
Blue colored vitamin ‘A’ capsules will be given to some 25 lakh children aged from 6 to 11 months while red colors capsules will be given to 1.94 lakh children aged from 12 to 59 months.
State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Zahid Malek made the remarks at a press conference in secretariat on Thursday noon (July 12).
He said children will be fed the vitamin A capsule at some 120,000 permanent health centres and 20,000 mobile centres across the country.
The mobile centres will be set up at bus stands, railway stations, launch terminals, airports, ferry terminals, bridge toll centres and kheya ghats, and these will remain open from 8:00am to 4:00pm, he added.
