Uttarkhan gas fire death toll now 4
A young woman who along with seven other people suffered burn injuries in a fire that broke out in a flat at Beparipara in Uttarkhan area early Saturday died at Dhaka Medical College on Tuesday night, taking the death toll from the incident to four.
Purnima, 35, succumbed to her injuries around 11pm, said hospital sources.
The fire broke out at their flat on the ground floor around 4 am on Saturday following a leakage in the gas pipeline, leaving eight inmates injured, UNB reports.
The injured were taken to the DMCHwheretwo Azizul, his wife Muslima alias Urmi and Sufia died earlier.
