US allocates USD 5.90cr for Rohingyas
AMERICA has declared a lot more than USD 5 crore and 90 lakh in additional humanitarian assistance for Rohingyas and host communities in Bangladesh.

The fund was announced through the lunching of 2020 Joint Response Plan (JRP) for Rohingyas in Geneva on Tuesday (March 3).

This will also cover internally displaced Rohingyas and members of other afflicted communities in Myanmar.

THE UNITED STATES Ambassador to Bangladesh Earl R Miller said this at a press meeting at American Centre on Wednesday (March 4).

Earl R Miller said that they might also continue to ask Myanmar to create the conditions that could ensure voluntary, safe, dignified, and sustainable return of Rohingyas, predicated on the consent of those who've been forcibly displaced.

He also called upon Naypyidaw to make sure unhindered and sustained humanitarian access inside Myanmar territory to all people requiring assistance.

The envoy hoped that the united states funding will be beneficial to addressing emergency needs greater than 900,000 displaced Rohingyas in Bangladesh plus the Bangladeshi communities in Cox’s Bazar influenced by the influx.
