Uber insurance policy for riders, drivers
Dhaka : Uber has announced insurance policy for passengers/riders and drivers to provide a secured feeling while they are on a trip.
The insurance policy which is aimed for supporting the passengers/riders and driver partners will be offered free coverage for accidental death, permanent disablement and hospitalization in case of any accident on the road while using the Uber App.
The period covered in the insurance would be exact time when a request has been accepted by the driver till the end of the trip. On the other hand, for passenger/riders it’s available from when s/he starts the trip till the end.
Riders of UberMOTO and Uber 4-wheelers can avail this insurance programme if situation arises. Driver partners (aged up to 70 years) of the same kind of vehicles will receive the insurance coverage too. The amount varies from case to case but is same for both the rider and driver partner.
The coverage offer BDT 2 lakhs in case of accidental death, up to BDT 2 lakhs for permanent disability and BDT 1 lakh if there’s an incident of hospitalization.
Uber is presently is in operation in and Chattogram with a wide range of services including UberMOTO, UberX, UberPremier and UberHIRE.
Uber provides their service in 633 city worldwide including and Chattogram.
