President Donald Trump offers fired Michael Atkinson, the inspector standard for the intelligence network who exactly handled the whistleblower complaint that triggered Trump's impeachment.

Trump informed the Senate cleverness committee Friday of his decision to fire Atkinson, according to a good letter obtained by The Associated Press.

Trump said in the letter that it's "vital" that he offers confidence found in the appointees serving as inspectors general, and "that's no more the case with regard to the inspector general."

Atkinson was first the first ever to inform Congress about a great anonymous whistleblower complaint last year that described Trump's pressure about Ukraine to research Democrat Joe Biden and his son. That complaint prompted a residence investigation that ultimately led to Trump's impeachment.

The Senate acquitted Trump in February.
