Trump calls police injury to elderly protester ‘set up’
President Donald Trump suggested Tuesday an elderly man bleeding from the top after he was shoved to the bottom by US riot law enforcement was a far-still left agitator faking the shocking incident.
“I watched, he fell harder than was pushed. Was aiming scanner. Could be a create?” Trump asked on his massively implemented Twitter account.
Two cops in Buffalo, NY, were billed with assault after the incident go on week where protester Martin Gugino, 75, was pushed and fell right backwards after approaching an advancing line of police in helmets and human body armor.
Video showed bloodstream pooling under the rear of Gugino’s head due to he lay motionless. He's still in hospital.
It wasn’t clear what Trump wished to say by writing “aiming scanner” and that Gugino was “appearing to scan law enforcement communications so that you can black out the gear.”
The president’s tweet was apparently based on watching a report on OANN, a right-wing television network that specializes in conspiracy theories and has turned into a favorite at the White Residence.
For the reason that clip, OANN promoted the thought of a “false flag provocation by the far still left group Antifa.” It claimed that “newly introduced video” showed Gugino “trying to scan police communication” along with his phone.
The video only shows him holding his telephone in his right hand. Law enforcement scanner apps, which merely allow you to pay attention to radio traffic on police frequencies, are entirely legal and prevalent in america.
