Transport strike in Chattogram withdrawn after 12 hrs
The transport strike on Chattogram-Cox’s Bazar and other routes has been withdrawn at 6 pm on Sunday after 12 hours of its enforcement.
The Chattogram district road transport owners began the strike since 6 am on Sunday protesting against the attack on two counters in Shah Amanat Bridge area and misbehavior of the OC of Bakalia Police Station with the leaders of the owners association.
Following the strike, the transport movement on 19 routes of Chattogram had been suspended since 6 am.
After a successful meeting with the district and the Police administrations, the transport owners agreed to withdraw the strike from 6 pm.
