To cater to developing users in India, Zoom to create technology centre in Bengaluru
Zoom Video recording Communications on Tuesday said it will set up a new technology centre here and hire key talent over another couple of years to expand its presence in India.
The business said in a statement the brand new office in India would make it maintain its vastly growing number of Indian users. “From January to April 2020, Zoom has seen 6,700 per cent growth in no cost user sign ups in India,” the statement read.
The business said it already comes with an office as well as two info centres in Mumbai and that its expansion into Bengaluru will supplement its existing research and development centres and support the engineering leadership, which is situated at its San Jose, California headquarters.
The company said it could immediately start recruiting DevOps (software advancement and IT operations) engineers, in addition to security and business businesses personnel in Bengaluru. The employees will continue to work from home before COVID-19 circumstances has improved.
