Tk 200 costs fixed for COVID-19 tests
COVID-19 tests at government facilities won't be free of charge as the government has approved a health ministry proposal to impose costs on the tests.
Patients will will have to fork out Tk 200 per test if they visit the kiosks to give samples or if they're hospitalised, medical Directorate said in a good notice issued on Mon, reports bdnews24.com.
The costs will be Tk 500 in case of home sample selections, the ministry said in the declaration.
The decision will be effective soon, the notice, signed by Dr Nargis Begum, deputy secretary of Wellbeing Services Division, said.
