Tigers face Windies in series decider
Visiting Bangladesh meet West Indies in series deciding one-day international (ODI) match at Warner Park this evening (Saturday).
The match begins at 7:30pm Bangladesh standard time.
The Tigers will try to overcome the shock loss in the second ODI to win the three-match bilateral series.
If Bangladesh boys win, this will be their first ODI series victory since 2016. For West Indies, this is the chance to secure the first bilateral series win since 2014.
With bowling in the death overs remaining a cause for concerns, Bangladesh's batting is also a cause for concern.
Despite creating all hopes, Mushfiqur Rahim got out at the crucial moment of the second ODI, reminiscing bad memories for the Bangladesh cricket. His name is involved with the closest margin of defeat by three runs for Bangladesh overseas after the previous such record of five-run loss to Zimbabwe in Harare in 2011 when Mushfiq was also part of it.
Still, seniors - Mushfiq, Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal - are playing critical role in the building innings.
So, Bangladesh are hardly likely to bring remarkable change in their XI. Sabbir Rahman may be excused for his poor form due to lack of exact replacement for him.
West Indies may be bound to replace Andre Russel due to his injuries.
The Caribbean side are equally concerned about victory in the series hanging in balance at 1:1 after their dominant performance of 2:0 win over Bangladesh in the Test series.
