Three-day Bharatnatyam dance festival begins
A three-day Bharatnatyam dance festival 'Rongarpon' with live carnatic music ensemble begin at Chhayanaut auditorium in the capital's Dhanmondi area yesterday.
Organized by Kolpotoru, artistes Shudha Srimoyee Das, Shammy Akter and Zuairiyah Mouli will be presenting their solo recitals respectively on December 2, 3 and 4.
These dancers have performed in various dance festivals in Bangladesh, India and abroad.
At the event, the dancers will be accompanied by Carnatic musicians-- Srimati Kirti Ramgopl (Nattuvangam), Sri Nandakumar Unnikrishnan (Vocal), Sri Janardhana Rao Patertuni (Mridangam) and Sri Nitish Kankal (Flute).
Musicians came all the way from Bangalore, India for this festival. This event is open for all.
