This pro is lit, bro!
Ever since its launch in India, Realme smartphones have challenged other brands with a different series of phones, aimed at value-for-money, all-in-ones and affordable flagships. They were also the first manufacturers to introduce a 64 MP camera setup in India. Their latest number -- the X2 pro -- takes their 64 MP legacy a step further by having the Snapdragon 855 Plus flagship processor, with features like vapour cooling and a double layer aluminium alloy frame design. In fact, this device uses aluminium a lot, with its alloy camera lens frame, speaker grills and physical buttons.
Design-wise, the brand has invested in high-quality frosted surface with double anodized metal giving it a rugged yet functional hand feel. The camera module at the back crisply blends with the design and is a quad lens one with a 64 MP primary camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide and macro lens, a 2X telephoto lens, and a 2 MP portrait camera. For gamers, the X2 comes with a 'photorealistic enhancement' feature that enhances the colour definitions of games. Along with vapour cooling and a superconducting carbon fibre for better heat dissipation, with Dolby Atmos sound, the gaming experience is a notch higher. The 6.5 inches device has a miniscule notch which Realme has christened as a mini drop, and a screen with a 90Hz refresh rate for better swipe transitions. Powered by a 4000mAh battery with a 50 W charger, the X2 Pro promises a full charge in 35 minutes.
While we thought the deluge of smart phones ended with the Diwali season, brands seems to be upping their game just before the year ends. Of course, the emphasis is on camera performance and faster processing. The Realme X2 Pro was launched recently at Rs 22,999 (8 GB + 128 GB) and Rs 33,999 (12 GB + 156 GB), along with a soon-to-be released Master Edition in brick and concrete design at Rs 34, 999 (12 GB + 256 GB). Our experience with the device was good both in terms of design and gaming performance.
