TASK holds Kashmir Road Show cum Interactive Seminar at Gulshan Club
Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK) organised an interactive seminar cum road show held at Patio Hall – Gulshan Club Limited, Dhaka, Bangladesh on Sunday, February 10, 2019. The Jammu and Kashmir tourism officials are conducting road shows across the country and internationally to build confidence among people to visit their favourite destination.

Akhtaruz Zaman Khan Kabir, Chairman, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation graced the event as Chief Guest. Bhubon Chandra Biswas (ph.D), CEO, Bangladesh Tourism Board, attended the programme as Special Guest. Nisar Ahmed Wani (K.A.S), Director, Tourism Kashmir was Guest of Honour.

Among the other distinguished guests, there were Taufiq Uddin Ahmed, President, Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh and Rezaul Ekram, President, Bangladesh Inbound Tour Operators Association.

More than 200 travel agents and tour operators of Bangladesh along with local journalists from electronic and print media were present on the occasion.

TASK showcased the tourism potential of Kashmir since Bangladesh has been their major upcoming source of incoming foreign tourists.

Assuring that conditions in the valley are largely peaceful, Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Tourism is gearing up for summers with range of new activities. These include projecting Kashmir as the new wedding destination, rebranded river cruise across Jhelum, new places on the offing, restarting the light and sound show, river-rafting in Sonmarg, saffron trails, heritage activities in Kashmir and Ladakh, new trekking trails in the valley and Ladakh and tapping the potential of 2200 lakes in the valley largely unknown to tourists.

Mir Anwar, President, Travel Agents Society of Kashmir (TASK), said, “TASK is one of the oldest associations formed in 1967 with currently 120 elite tour operators as its members. We have visited more than 20 cities across India before arriving to this beautiful country Bangladesh for extending our invitation over to the people of Bangladesh for visiting Kashmir and experience the best hospitality they can get anywhere.”

Ather Yameen, Secretary General, TASK, mentioned that Kashmir has a zero per cent crime record according to National Crime Records Bureau’s report.

He added, “It makes Kashmir the safest destination of our country, despite small conflict, yet a peaceful destination with hospitable hearted Kashmiri people. Perhaps it is of no match in the country or abroad with the quality and level of our affectionateness.”
