Take out Al Jazeera's video report from social press: High Court
The High Courtroom on Wednesday asked telecom regulator (BTRC) to eliminate the Al Jazeera news channel's video report titled "All of the Prime Minister's Guys" from Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.

The HC bench of Justice Md Mozibur Rahman Miah and Justice Md Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order after hearing a writ in this regard.

Earlier on February 8, Barrister Enamul Kabir Emon filed a writ petition looking for measures to eliminate Al Jazeera's article from all online systems.

The court appointed six legal professionals as amicus curiae (friend of court) to provide their opinions on the problem of banning Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera in Bangladesh and removing a recent report from online platforms.

The legal experts gave their opinions to court on February 15.

Al Jazeera published the survey on February 1. Hours later, the international ministry of Bangladesh issued a declaration terming it as fake and politically motivated "smear campaign" by people from the Jamaat-e-Islami extremist group.

On Monday, the Inter Services PR Directorate (ISPR) issued another assertion rejecting the article saying Al-Jazeera's article against Bangladesh Army is fake and fabricated.

Moreover, a sedition case was filed in Wednesday morning hours against four people like the director standard of Qatar-based news channel Al Jazeera.

The accused are- Swedish-Bangladeshi journalist Tasneem Khalil, Hungary-based entrepreneur Zulkarnain Saer Khan, British journalist David Bergman and Director General (editing council) of Al Jazeera Television Dr Mostefa Souag.
