'Swapnajaal' to release in Kolkata in August
Giasuddin Selim's second directorial venture 'Swapnajaal', featuring a tragic love story of a couple belonging to two different religions, will be released on August 31 in the Indian city Kolkata.

Kolkata-based production and exhibition house Shree Venkatesh Films will distribute the film at different cinemas. 'The number of cinemas has not yet been finalized', said N Rashed Chowdhury, creative director of Bengal Creations, the local producer of the India-Bangladesh joint venture film.

'Swapnajaal' starring Indian actor Yash Rohan and local actress Pori Moni in the lead roles was released in Dhaka on April 6. 'For the censor problems, release date of the film in India delayed,' Rashed said.

Set against the backdrop of communal riots in 1990s in the region, the film was released at five cinemas in Canada in April and at three cinemas in USA in May, he said. The film will also be released in Australia, Rashed added.
