South Korean Music Icon Boa to Hold Singapore Concert in November

South Korean singer BoA, regarded as one of the most successful K-pop artistes of all time, will stage a concert in Singapore on Nov 30. Titled BoA: One's Own, the concert will be held at The Star Theatre.

South Korean singer BoA will perform in Singapore on Nov 30 at The Star Theatre with her concert "BoA: One's Own." Previously scheduled for the One Love Festival in 2020, the concert was postponed due to the pandemic. BoA, known for her success in South Korea and Japan, will also tour Seoul, Jakarta, and Taipei.

She was previously scheduled to perform at One Love Festival in 2020 which was postponed and eventually cancelled due to the pandemic. She also performed in Singapore in 2012 as one of the acts of SM Town Live World Tour III.

In addition to Singapore, BoA will also perform in Seoul, Jakarta and Taipei. Ticketing details will be released at a later date.

BoA, whose real name is Kwon Bo-ah, started her career in 2000 at the age of 13 under SM Entertainment. Her breakthrough came in 2002 with the release of her debut Japanese album

Listen To My Heart which sold over 230,000 copies in its first week and topped the Oricon Albums Chart – making her the first South Korean artiste to do so. The album is also famous for the track Every Heart (Minna no Kimochi) which served as an ending theme for the hit anime Inuyasha.

Since then, BoA has become a household name in South Korea and Japan – credited for making K-pop popular in Japan. In 2024, she released her latest single Emptiness in March and played an antagonist in the popular drama Marry My Husband.
